Dear Larry,

We always count it an honor to be your hands here in Guatemala.  We continually strive to walk pleasing to the Lord and to be good representatives first of Him, and secondly of you.  In the midst of hard economic times you continue to bless us with your generosity.  When we say bless....we aren't just talking about the financial, no it's so much more than that.  Jesus said where your treasure is there is your heart also.....we know that your giving is linked spiritually to your heart.  That touches us deeply.  Please pray for us, we want to do more and more for the kingdom.  Time is short.  We must work while it is day.  Pray for our safety as we daily travel on roads that are treacherous.  Pray for our entire team as they daily help us carry out the tasks of building churches, maintaining feeding centers and the myriad of other daily chores.

We want to say how very much we love you.  We pray for you.  Together, we ARE the CHANGE!

With heartfelt love,
Larry & Marla

A time for the Children

ne1ne2We had a very special time ministering to the children when Pastor Carla Ives from Heart Cry International came down to do a series of VBS type activities with the children.  Each child received a special care packet of toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, and wash cloth.  Many of the children prayed to accept Christ.

We put together a special video of the children.  I am sure that if you watch it, it WILL touch your heart.  The link to watch it on YouTube is:  Newest Video
Cimarron Church Dedication
hats Like I always say there is nothing better than going to the villages to dedicate churches. We always have such a great time sharing from the Word of God, ministering to the people, praying over and blessing the church, as well as getting to know the people in the church. This month we had the opportunity to be in the village of Cimarron in the department of Chiquimula. For those that have been here in Guatemala with us, you know that some times it can be an adventure even before you get to the village your going to.  We had a good crowd at the service. You could see cowboy hats hanging from the fence post all around the church were the men had put their hats as they entered the church. They were so excited to finally have their church. There were ribbons draped across the chairs on the isle down the middle of the church. So we had a ribbon cutting ceremony at the beginning of the service.

Suchiquer Centro Church Dedication
suchiquer 1 Onward we go...to the village of Suchiquer Centro with Pastor Pablo Ramos from Manantial de Vida Enterna. This day the roads were not so bad, but after driving as far as a vehicle will take you, we got out of the truck and then it was about a 50 yds. hike up a hill on a path that took you right through the corn plants! We had another great dedication service ministering to the people. This is a village that we had a medical clinic at in March.

At the end of the service the pastors wife asked us if we would go visit the man who had donated the land for the church. So we go farther up the hill to a little bamboo hut. We were asked to pray for the man who had recently given his life to the Lord after he had given the land for the church. He found out later that he has a tumor in his stomach. So we laid hands on him and prayed for him. We are believing for a total healing in his body.

Please continue to pray for us, we count on your prayers.  We also ask that you pray for Honduras, our close neighbors.  They are going through many difficult times.  We know that He is able to keep us safe in His hand just as he does our missionary friends still in Honduras.  We serve a big God, He does not grow weary neither does he slumber or sleep.
