We went to Honduras to dedicate four churches-to
consecrate them, and set them apart to be a place of
His Presence. We went so far up into the mountains of
Honduras that we weren't sure if we would make it back
down when it began to rain on the already impassible
roads. But let us tell you that God poured out His
presence on His people with signs and wonders.
What an awesome time we had traveling to Honduras to
dedicate 4 of the churches that were built last
year.
Choloma Church-First up!
On Saturday morning we started out by going to
Ministerio Salem in the village of
Cholma. God poured out
his Spirit upon them ministering to their spiritual
and physical needs. They were so hungry for the word
of God, and together we dedicated the building to
the Lord. They are a precious congregation.
Linderos Church Followed
Then we went on up the mountain between 4000-5000
feet elevation to do the next church dedication in
the village of Linderos.
They are already utilizing the church as a central
meeting place for so many pastors and leaders in
training. We got there a little early and were
having a class on Church planting for pastors and
leaders of other churches in their area. What an
unexpected blessing! As they finishing up their
class they asked us if we would come and minister to
them. Laying hands on them and praying for them.
What a powerful time in the Lord.
It is awesome to see how God directs our paths. He
put us in the midst of a group of 40 to 50 pastors
and leaders who are eager to learn about planting
churches in rural remote locations. The Holy Spirit
ministered to many of them individually and several
confirmed their call to the ministry! Many stay
afterward to be in the dedication service. Praise
the Lord there was another power packed dedication
service with God moving and pouring out His spirit
upon all the church.
Sunday We were Off to Monte de Oro Church
On Sunday we started at the village of Monte de
Oro what fun that was the last mile or so was red
clay mud, our truck slipped and slid side to side as
we went up and down the narrow road with coffee
plants sloping down each side with drop offs at
times of 100's of feet. It probably took 20 minutes
to go that mile or 2. But it was all worth while
to get there and see God pour out His blessing upon
the church. There was such a move of God in that
place that we weren't sure if there was even going
to be a message. Before the message the gifts of
the Spirit began to move. It was a very special
service. Monte de Oro means Mount of Gold...it is
truly as special as gold. The people sought God
with fervency and fire, and He showed up!
Last but not least Cruz de Pacaya Church!
We then made our way to the better roads and off
we were to the last church in Cruz de Pacaya. It is
a very young church and it was birthed out of the
Monte de Oro church. The dedication service was
powerful touching so many lives there as well. At
all the churches the people were so greatful and
they feed us wonderfully giving their best to bless
us. What an awesome weekend it was so many lives
changed forever even ours.
