Believing for Resurrection Power in your life
Dear Friends and
Partners,
We have so much to share with you this month. We hope that you will take the time to read all about what we have done together this month! There are lots of pictures for you to enjoy as well as heart touching stories. We always start off by thanking all of you for your constant love and support. But we want to say that we do earnestly pray for you--that God would increase your seed sown and multiply it back to you. That he would give you bread to eat while you are waiting on your harvest, and this special time of year when our thoughts turn to the death, burial and resurrection of our Christ.....we pray that the resurrection power of God be manifest in your lifeless, hopeless situations. When it looks like all is lost, God comes on the scene with all power and in one instant can change everything. God is a God of the suddenlies. Christ was dead....and then suddenly! The Children of Israel were in bondage....and then suddenly! Blind Bartemaeus was blind his whole life....and then suddenly! The little widow woman put in her last mite....and then suddenly Jesus saw her. Just as surely He sees what you are facing today.....we are praying that this be your season of suddenly!
5 of the 10 New Churches already built to the Glory of God! We are so pleased to announce that our first 5 churches have been built! This year is a year of great increase and intensity and we are doing all that we can to turn up the dial. We want to keep the kingdom advancing here in Eastern Guatemala. Please stand with us as our construction team and the individual pastors and churches that we are working in conjunction with are also turning up the level of intensity in what they are doing for the kingdom, because with increased intensity comes battles. Please take the time to get to know a little about the newest villages that are trying to open a way for the gospel. Allow the Lord to speak to you and perhaps have you pray for one of these new villages. They are villages that have not had the gospel preached until just recently. The believers are totally new to Christianity and face ridicule and even death when they accept the Lord. The pastors are threatened and beaten for the gospel's sake. So we urge you to take the time to read about them and then pray for them. Our Newest Feeding Center Opens!This month we built and opened our newest feeding center, thanks to Gainesville Church of God! They spent their time and vacations to come and build another feeding center. They come every year and build one! We want to say a special thank you to each one of them!
Praise the Lord we have had a full house every time we feed! But the most touching part is that we began teaching the children about God, Jesus and salvation, approximately 45-50 have accepted Christ as a result. Man Gets Saved after repetitively threatening Pastor Tono's life Last month we were so happy to host a team of regular partners with this ministry. A church from Gainesville Florida, headed up by Pastor Chris Chrisopolus. They come down several times a year bringing construction teams, medical teams and children's ministry teams to minister in the villages, build feeding centers and give much needed medical attention to the people of the villages. This year, one of the places that we took them was a village called Shalaguá, we built a church there and wanted to help boost the gospel with much needed medical care. You see, at our clinics, each person hears the gospel one on one after seeing the doctors. It allows us to reach people who would not otherwise come and listen to the gospel. Well, that is just what happened! A man from the village that had threatened Pastor Tono on numerous occasions came in, almost at the very end of the day. When Pastor Tono saw him he said, "He has threatened to kill me many times with his machete, but today is my day!" He shared the gospel with the man and he accepted Christ! He said that he now understands that he was fighting the Lord and not Pastor Tono. Hundreds saved during the outreaches It is such an exciting thing to announce that through the outreaches done by Gainesville Church of God hundreds accepted Christ either as a result of the medical outreaches or the children's ministry! Souls, souls, souls.....what would you give in exchange for one. This team gave of themselves, their time, their money, their vacations, and their hearts! What would you give to win a soul?
