“....Who maketh his angels spirits and His ministers as Flames of Fire.” Hebrews 1:7 |
August & September 2006
Two-fold Harvest! We are sorry that we've been so busy that we haven't had time to write lately. But I guess that's good because we are getting so much done for the kingdom of God! We just hate not getting to keep you updated on what is being done. Let's see, since our last newsletter we have dedicated several churches, built one church, and hosted our annual pastor's conference here at the ministry center.
But first please allow us to tell you how very much we appreciate each of you. You write us and encourage us, you pray for us and you sacrifice to see the work advance. We could have all the desire in the world but without you doing your part it just wouldn't happen. We know that Jesus must be so pleased at all that you do for us and Him. Thank you for blessing Guatemala, for helping us make a difference here in the Eastern section of Guatemala. Together we are changing the future of Guatemala. We are changing it one village at a time. We are praying for you that your harvest comes in due season. This is the time of year that we tend to think about harvest in the natural, but let's set our faith together on the harvest of your seed sown into the kingdom and the harvest of souls that we are striving for! A two-fold harvest, just like the corn grown here--some is harvested for tortillas and some is eaten as corn. Two types of harvest but really just one crop! That is what we are believing for in your life, a 2-fold harvest! Souls, and provision for you and your family. Paul talked about it to the Philippians. He said that they were the only ones that had given to his missionary journey and that because of that he prayed for fruit in their account in Philippians 4:17 but he went on to say that God would supply their needs as well in verse 19. The spiritual and natural! So get ready for a double harvest! It is harvest time! Annual Pastor's Conference "Becoming Spiritual Fathers" This month we hosted our annual Pastor's conference with Pastor Douglas Bartsch from His Place Family Church in Texas. We would like to thank Brother Doug for being such a blessing to the pastors of Guatemala. Pastors came down from the mountains of Eastern Guatemala to be taught and refreshed in the Lord. The conference focused on making disciples, but more than that becoming spiritual fathers and raising up those that will continue on reaching the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We housed them here at the ministry center and fed them all with no cost to the pastors. We regret that several were unable to attend because they just did not have the $5 to pay the bus fare. Please lift our pastors in prayer and ask the same God that meets your needs to meet theirs too. Some came sick and left well, others left sick family members to come. We haven't heard any reports but we are believing that they were healed as we prayed. It was a great time in the word and a time to seek God and be refreshed. Here are a few photos.
Update on Retainer wall cave in at ministry center The wall is still under construction......but it's almost done. We should have pictures next month for you. We want to especially thank our partners that helped on the reconstruction of the wall. It was not optional. Many we so very generous. It cost much more than we initially thought. It has taken much longer and that means more labor as well as materials. We have been able to pay for the majority of everything but ask that you please stand with us as we stand for the remainder. We know that you pray for us, and for that we say a heartfelt thank you. Prayer changes things! It moves the hand of God!
Until next month, thank you for standing with us and know that ….
