June and July 2007

In this month's edition:  

Hello to all of our partners and dear friends.  We pray that all is well with you wherever you might be this 4th of July holiday.  I know that we are all thankful to live in a country where freedom rings from shore to shore.  Moreover, we are thankful to have the freedom to preach the gospel.  Many things try to take that freedom from us as Christians.  We must stand and refuse to give up ground in the spirit, just as our forefathers did in the natural when they fought and gave their lives for the freedom that we enjoy.  Jesus paid a precious price so that we could be free from the bondage of sin, now we MUST GO and preach the freeing power of the cross.  Thank you so much for helping us "GO" your prayers and offerings make what we do possible.  Without a doubt Jesus will look each of you in the eye on that day and say, "Well done, thank you" .  What an overwhelming sense of joy that brings.  We want you to know that we are praying for you, for your families, for your jobs, and for the details that concern you.  The Lord knows what each of you are going through even when we do not.  We call you blessed, healed, happy and prosperous. 

Lee University, 2 weeks of medical outreaches close to 100 saved!

We just finished 2 weeks of medical outreaches with a team of doctors, nurses, and students from Lee University of Cleveland, Tn. It was a tremendous success!   We were in villages and churches that we've built in the mountains of Eastern Guatemala.  We had reports from some of the villages that we were in last year they are still seeing fruit because of the clinics.  In one village, last year 30 accepted the Lord and 25 are still in church today!   So, we are very optimistic because we saw close to 100 give their hearts to Jesus during this years outreaches!

11 Churches built this year so far!

We ask that you continue to pray for the church construction, it is going along very well.  We have built 11 churches so far this year in Guatemala and Honduras.  There are so many villages way up the mountains that have no place to preach the gospel or worship the Lord.  It is so very important to us to put churches in every village that does not have one!  We won't rest until we have done so here in eastern Guatemala.  Our goal is to build 20-25 this year.  The precious village people are always so very grateful for their new church.  We only wish that you could be with us in every dedication! 

Children missing! 

Feeding centers are praying!

For last month or so several children have been abducted from various villages and one found dead with organs having been removed.  This is obviously witchcraft.  But rumors run wild in the villages.  Many are afraid to send their children to the feeding centers.  There have been some attempted and even successful lynchings.  There have also been threats on the lives of some of our feeding center Pastors and their wives.  We ask that you please lift our  feeding centers up in prayer daily.  Please pray protection over the children and over our workers.  Pray that they find the guilty and the rumors stop.  Pray that the villagers will not be driven by fear.
